Born and brought up in a business family, Arun spent his initial years in the family timber business, soon after, started a new entrepreneurial venture of wooden photo frame manufacturing the very first of its kind in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. This led to him establishing a complete “one stop building material warehouse” in the city of Jammu. Continuing to trust his instincts and following his ardour to expand, explore and to learn more, he established a plywood manufacturing unit at Yamunanagar, Haryana and subsequently, entered the hospitality industry by setting up a hotel at Haridwar, Uttrakhand. Adding to his progress, he recently opened a cafe lounge in Yamunanagar.
Joined Rotary Jagadhri North in 2000, have done justice to the full range of Rotary Assignments he had been assigned
Adjudged as best club president, best secretary and best assistant governor.
Graduate from “District Rotary Leadership Academy’, rotary leadership institute and Faculty orientation training.
He has been elected as District Governor for Year 2023-24.
Held the position of faculty at various district events. Hosted many district functions and served as volunteer at four medical missions in India & abroad.
Committed, dedicated and hardworking, with a great work ethic and with a clear vision of strengthening Rotary & enhancing Rotary’s public image and executing meaningful service projects. He has widely travelled and attended R I Convention, Zone institute and other Rotary events.
A firm supporter of “The Rotary Foundation” he had been the charter member of District Paul Harris Society formed in 2007.
He is major donor level-2 and a Benefactor and all his family members are Paul Harris fellow.
Associated with many social welfare associations, life member of Indian Red Cross Society, Executive Member of Haryana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Secretary General Of AIPMA (All India Plywood Manufacturing Association.
He is happily married to Rtn Charu, also a Rotarian of Rotary Jagadhri North and past president of Inner Wheel Club. He is blessed with a son, Raghav, who is married to Mallika and is taking care of family business and a daughter, Meera, currently studying in class VII.
